By: Mike Stiles - Wednesday, September 11, 2019

THREE RIVERS – Three Rivers High School and Middle School were placed on lockdown for a time on Tuesday.

Superintendent Ron Moag announced on the District's web site that at 11:40 AM a member of the maintenance staff saw a man walking down 6th Avenue towards
M-60 carrying what looked like a firearm over his shoulder. The staff member immediately called 911, and Three Rivers Police initiated the lockdown of the two buildings.

Officers found the man walking on Wood Street. The man was legally carrying a cased and unloaded firearm, which he was taking to a relative's home.

Three Rivers Police say at no time was any student or staff member in danger.

Just after 12 PM, officers contacted Moag, and the lockdown was lifted.
