INDIANAPOLIS – Two LaGrange County projects received funding in the latest round of Lake and River Enhancement Fund grants.

Pretty Lake is getting $36,000 for watershed stabilization.

Lake of the Woods will get $16,800 for shoreline stabilization design and build.

Other area projects that were funded include Turkey Creek in Noble County $80,000 for watershed stabilization...Lake James in Steuben County $25,000 for shoreline stabilization...Clear Lake in Steuben County $68,000 for design/build on a two-stage ditch and wetland...and the Barbee Lakes chain in Kosciusko County $44,200 for a post-construction water quality study.

All the projects must be completed within two years.

Funds for the LARE grants come from boater registration fees.
