A Taste of LaGrange County on Saturday supports LCYC

LAGRANGE – You can sample the best dishes LaGrange County restaurants offer Saturday evening at the 4-H Fairgrounds Community Building.

LaGrange Community Youth Center Executive Director Jennifer Martin says A Taste of LaGrange County is back.

"It is a night full of great food with great friends and supporting a great cause. We have invited twenty plus restaurants to come and bring their signature dish or dishes and they will be in there serving their food starting about 5 p-m and it goes until 9. There's also live entertainment. Music By Pierce will be there, along with a couple of different auctions."

Some of the auction items include a trailer from Spreuer & Sons, a sofa, two recliners, tables and chairs, concert tickets for Josh Turner, the Newsboys, and Night Ranger, airplane rides and date night baskets.

Proceeds from the event support the programs of LCYC...including their plans for a multi-purpose community center at Spruer Park.

"Our vision is to give something to LaGrange County that they've never had. It's always been a youth center, but we realize that by giving the kids of the county that, we also can reach their families as well. We have developed and researched for a very long time how to do that. So we've got the plans ready. We are seeking funding for a multi-purpose building that will give the people of LaGrange County something that they've been wanting and needing for a very long time," Martin said.

Tickets are $25 a person and will be available at the door. You must be 21 or older to attend. Doors open at 5 p-m.
