Friday, October 18, 2019

KENDALLVILLE – The Board of Directors for the Community Learning Center in Kendallville has approved the first seven organizations that will offer programs and occupy space inside the facility that’s currently being renovated.

They include East Noble School Corporation, Parkview Noble Hospital’s Center for Healthy Living, United Way of Noble County, The Arc Foundation of Noble County, Freedom Academy, Gaslight Playhouse, and the Performing Arts Committee.

Earlier this month, the Center for Healthy Living presented a suicide prevention training session in the Community Learning Center. Other programs are anticipated to launch in the coming months, and information about them will be released at a later date. These organizations also will occupy office and classroom space inside the CLC.

The board expects to add more organizations over time as programs are finalized and renovations allow.

Renovations underway at the former East Noble Middle School Building on Diamond Street include HVAC system upgrades, more than 200 exterior windows are being replaced, offices and classrooms are being renovated, and solar panels that will provide electricity for the entire facility will be installed in the coming weeks.
