INDIANAPOLIS – LaGrange County had the lowest unemployment rate in the area during December.

It went from 2.5% in November down to 2.2% December according to Indiana’s Department of Workforce Development.

Steuben County was next at 2.3%...down from 2.5%.

DeKalb County was at 2.5%...down from 2.8%.

Elkhart County was at 2.7%...down from 2.8%.

And Noble County was at 2.9%...down from 3% in November.

Northeast Indiana was below the state’s rate of 3.2% in December.
