16 New Deaths From Coronavirus In Indiana

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Officials say there were 16 deaths due to coronavirus in Indiana since Tuesday.

The State Department of Health says that brings the total number of deaths in the Hoosier State to 65. In addition there are now 2,565 Indiana residents who have been diagnosed with coronavirus, which is an increase of 409 since Tuesday.

Locally, LaGrange County has two cases of coronavirus. Noble County saw a new case, bringing their total to three. Steuben County and DeKalb County each have two cases of coronavirus. Elkhart County has three new cases, which gives them 23, and another fatality, which brings the total to two.

State officials are asking anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 to self isolate for 14 days to avoid potentially exposing others. If you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, you are asked to self quarantine for 14 days and monitor yourself for fever, cough and shortness of breath.

COVID-19 symptoms may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure to the virus.

Also please stay home and only go out for essential matters, including getting food, medicine and for doctor's appointments which would be considered absolutely necessary.
