(STURGIS) – The St. Joseph County community did it again.

Thursday, people placed bids and made contributions during the twelve hour WBET Online Auction to Support the St. Joseph County United Way. Just after 6 PM, United Way Executive Director Kelly Hostetler announced how much had been raised over twelve hours. ...... {LISTEN}.

The event was held to help raise money for the United Way, so they could assist the 40 funded agencies they support over the course of the year. Because of COVID-19, the United Way hasn't been able to do the fund raising events they normally do, and the non profit agencies have also had issues getting money from other sources.

Hostetler says the United Way will now get ready for the WBET Radiothon, which will be held September 24 from 6 AM until 12 AM.
