Two People Injured In Motorcycle Crash

(KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP) – A Wednesday morning crash in southern Branch County injured a Coldwater man and the driver of a second vehicle.

According to the Branch County Sheriff's Department, 29 year old Jason Hufnagle was driving his motorcycle south on I-69 near Southern Road at a high rate of speed at 7:48 AM, and hit the rear of an another southbound automobile. The motorcycle went into the median and then crashed.

The Lakeland Fire Department treated Hufnagle at the scene. He was then flown to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo by West Michigan Air Care and is in serious condition.

The driver of the second vehicle, 23 year old Autumn White of Angola, was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital by Life Care Ambulance to be treated for minor injuries.

I-69 was closed down until 11 AM while authorities investigated the crash. Assisting deputies were the Michigan State Police.
