(KENDALLVILLE) – A two vehicle crash claimed the life of one person near Kendallville.

According to authorities, John Kay of Wolcottville was on Angling Road, and taking a curve in the roadway when he hit a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver has been identified as 64 year old Raymond Fleck of Rome City. He was pronounced dead.

Kay was taken to an area hospital to be tested and treated for injuries. Authorities say drugs or other substances are thought to be factors in the incident, which is still under investigation by local and state officials.
