(KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP) – A rollover accident Friday afternoon injured four people in Kinderhook Township.

Branch County Undersheriff Keith Eichler says deputies were called to northbound I-69 north of Copeland Road at 3:12 PM Friday. 44 year old Jason Lee of Grantsburg, Wisconsin along with six members of his family were in a Chevy Suburban and pulling a 30 foot camper trailer. As Lee started to pass a semi, the trailer started to sway back and forth.

Eichler says Lee lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and into the median, where the vehicle rolled onto its top.

A witness told deputies they saw the camper was missing a tire and a rim on the driver's side rear axle. It's believed this was a factor in the
crash.

Lee had a head injury and was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. A 44 year old woman was also taken to ProMedica due to a possible head injury.

Two boys, ages 17 and 18, had minor cuts. All of the other passengers had no visible injuries. Everyone was wearing their safety belts and the airbags in the vehicle did activate.

Assisting at the scene were the Lakeland Fire Department, Branch County Victim's Services and Life Care Ambulance.
