(STURGIS) – If you love live music, then you need to be at Oaklawn Park in Sturgis today.

The 10th annual Homegrown Festival is back after having to be canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It's an opportunity to spotlight local bands and performers. Over the years, an art festival featuring local artists has been added along with a kids play zone, which is sponsored by Radiant Life Church.

Something new for 2021 is the addition of a headline act. Homegrown Festival co-founder Eric Wynes says this is something they have been thinking about doing for the 10th event, and as a way to bring in more people. ...... {LISTEN}.

The music starts at 12 PM. Today's musical line up includes the Radiant Life Worship Team (12 PM); Irreverent Reverends (1:45 PM); Six to One (2:45 PM); 16th Avenue Band (4:30 PM); Phins Up (5:50 PM) and then the Davy Knowles Trio (8 PM);

Throughout the day Tom Hamilton and the Irish band Si Bhaeng Si Mhor will be performing in the beer tent in between the main stage bands.

There is no charge to get into the festival.
