(SHERMAN TOWNSHIP) – A motorcyclist was injured in a two vehicle crash in Sherman Township.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department says a 20 year old Sturgis man was driving a pick up east on Banker Street Road Friday just after 10:30 PM. The truck collided with a motorcycle, driven by a 43 year old Sturgis man, which was traveling west.

The driver of the motorcycle was flown to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo with life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck and his passenger, were not injured.

The crash is still under investigation. Assisting at the scene were the Station 6 Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.
