(UNDATED) – Sturgis Electric customers are all back on line.

City officials say with the exception of those needing electricians to complete repairs, as of Tuesday afternoon all Sturgis Electric customers should have their power restored. This comes ahead of schedule, thanks to the continuous hard work of the Electric Department staff and line crew, as well as the mutual aid crews who assisted in this process.

The City would also like to say thanks to all the other departments and organizations who helped out during this time.

While the City is pleased to reach this milestone, they understand the work is not done. For those still without power, please view the City's post on their Facebook page from Tuesday on completing private repairs to your system, so the City can complete the restoration of power to you as well. Additionally, crews will be out to clean up debris from their work over the next several weeks.
