(QUINCY) – No injuries were reported when a semi crashed in eastern Branch County.

The Branch County Sheriff's Department says deputies were called to U.S. 12 near Briggs Road just after 6:30 Thursday morning. Deputies were originally told there had been an injury accident, but officers arrived and found there were no injuries.

The investigation determined the semi was carrying an open top grain trailer. When it crashed, the load was spilled on the ground.

Fuel was leaking from the vehicle, and a hazardous materials crew was called to the site to clean it up.
