(UNDATED) – The Branch County Sheriff's Department is investigating several break ins to vehicles that happened Friday morning.

Undersheriff Keith Eichler says the break ins were reported between 5 AM and 9:30 AM. Four of them happened on Union City Road between Bidwell Road and Stevens Shores Drive. One was in the Village of Quincy and the final one in the area of Jonesville and Fremont Roads.

Some of the items taken was a wallet with money, loose change and a backpack which was later recovered.

Eichler wants to remind everyone to lock their vehicles and do not keep valuables in them.
