(KENDALLVILLE) – Another Northeast Indiana school district is going to virtual learning for a short time because of COVID-19.

Friday afternoon, East Noble School Corporation leadership announced that they have called off in person classes for today and Tuesday. This is being done to try and give students, teachers and staff a chance to recover and return to their classes.

In a notice sent to families Friday afternoon, East Noble Superintendent Teresa Gremaux says their teachers work tirelessly to provide a high quality education for students, and their priority is to keep them in school and learning. Gremaux says unfortunately with the current COVID surge, they have determined that they can not continue operating with limited staff members.

Because of that, Gremaux says all East Noble buildings will be conducting
e-Learning for Monday, January 17 and Tuesday, January 18. Classes will resume on Wednesday January 19. All athletics will also be suspended through Tuesday.

This is the second time East Noble has been forced to take some time away from their buildings due to COVD-19. East Noble High School was shut down for three days back in August due to a high number of students being impacted by the virus.
