FORT WAYNE – Sergeant Deven Hostetler is moving up in rank with the Indiana State Police.

The Lakeland High School graduate joined I-S-P in 2000 and patroled the Toll Road in LaGrange and Steuben Counties for three years. Then transferred to the Fort Wayne Post where he patroled LaGrange County...transferring to the criminal investigations division in 2008 working as a detective. In 2016 he was promoted sergeant and became investigative squad leader.

Now Hostetler’s been promoted to the rank of First Sergeant and will supervise the investigative squad and act as liason between criminal justice agencies in the district.

He and his family live in rural LaGrange County.
