Traffic stop near Stroh leads to drug bust

STROH – A traffic stop near Stroh Monday night turned into a drug bust.
A LaGrange County deputy stopped the vehicle at 10:49 p-m on County Road 1100 East and called for a police dog when he said the occupants displayed signs of illegal activity.
The dog alerted to the presence of narcotics resulting in a search of the vehicle which turned up paraphernalia.
47-year-old Hugh Easterday of Lagrange allegedly dropped a clear baggy containing a white crystal-like substance and admitted to possessing a controlled substance.
Easterday was booked at the LaGrange County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
