LAGRANGE - The cost of that new water line to Exo-S north of Howe went up some this morning.
The LaGrange County Commissioners approved an amendment to their contract with DLZ Engineering for construction management services for the project. County Attorney Kurt Bachman explained the change would add an amount not to exceed $25,200.
Commission President Jac Price said construction is expected to begin today on extending the water line from the south side of Fawn River to the Exo-S building just north of Howe Military Academy. He said the project should be complete by June 10th.
In other business, the commissioners approved County Highway Superintendent Jeff Brill’s request to purchase a demo truck chassis for $117,415. They also authorized Brill to fix storm damage and leaks in the roof at the county highway garage for $18,320. Shetler Construction of LaGrange will do the work.
They announced County Auditor Kay Myers was elected vice-president of the Northeast District for the Indiana Association of Counties.
