(SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP) – Authorities uncovered a marijuana growing operation over the weekend.
Michigan State Police from the Coldwater Post received a tip about a possible controlled substance violation at a residence on Oliverda Road in Sherwood Township Sunday evening. When they investigated, troopers discovered suspected marijuana plants on a porch of the residence and a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence and an outbuilding.
Officers obtained a search warrant and went back to the residence where they discovered a growing operation in the house and the outbuilding. Troopers seized 14 live marijuana plants, varying amounts of suspected usable marijuana and growing operation equipment.
Troopers did not say if any arrests had been made.
