Blood Drive To Honor 10-Year-Old Girl Battling Leukemia

(AUBURN) - A fourth grade student who is battling leukemia will be honored during an American Red Cross blood drive at her school on May 15th. 10-year-old Whisper Palmer was diagnosed with leukemia in March. The blood drive will be held from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at McKenney-Harrison Elementary School at 320 Van Auken Street in Auburn. Donors are asked to call 1-800-RED CROSS or go to redcrossblood.org to schedule your blood donation appointment. Whisper is undergoing chemotherapy and receives blood transfusions as part of her treatment.
