LaGrange County Republican voters make changes

LAGRANGE - Republican voters in LaGrange County decided to shake things up a bit during Tuesday’s primary election.
They nominated the first woman for judge by choosing Lisa Bowen-Slaven over incumbent George Brown, 60% to 40%.
They chose former Prosecutor Tim Cain over current Prosecutor Jeff Wible 56% to 44%.
For County Commissioner they picked current Sheriff Terry Martin over incumbent commissioner Garry Heller 41% to 32%. David Nelson came in third with 27%.
The final change of the night came when former County Councilman Harold Gingerich defeated incumbent councilman Richard Yoder 61-39%.
In the race for LaGrange County Sheriff, Jeff Campos won a fairly tight race with Randy Mellinger 40-36%. Richard Snyder came in third with 24%.
At the township level, incumbent Springfield Township Trustee Debra Notestine won the Republican nomination over challenger Zachary Holsinger.
