(ANGOLA) - The Angola Redevelopment Commission met with consultants from H.W.C. Engineering on Tuesday night as they began to put together a Comprehensive Economic Development Plan for the area of I-69 and U.S. 20. Chris Hamm said during the discussion that lasted for almost 90 minutes that it will take at least four months for the plan to be put together. Tuesday nights meeting was primarily a chance to gather input and thoughts on the future of the intersection from RDC members. The intent of the plan is to identify opportunities that local officials can explore for future development. H.W.C. was hired by the city at just over $28,000. Two more meetings are scheduled to take place which will review a preliminary site analysis and to present draft recommendations for the plan.
