HOWE - Hidden behind the former granary on SR 120, east of Howe, Tony and Maria Brown’s home sports a new roof, thanks to the volunteers from LaGrange County Habitat for Humanity’s “A Brush with Kindness Project.”
The project, completed last week, was the third one this year for the organization.
Maria Brown says their daughter heard about LCHFH and looked up the organization on the website.
The Browns were impressed with the job that the volunteers did. Maria prepared meals for the volunteers and helped to load the dumpster with debris, and her son helped as well. Tony suffers from bad knees and is unable to do physical labor.
