(ANGOLA) - The Indiana Court of Appeals will again hold a hearing during Indiana Boys State at Trine University's Fabiani Theatre. The three judges on the panel will hear oral arguments next Thursday at 1:00pm in a case that was filed in connection with a fatal accident involving a drunk driver. 30-year-old Eboni M. Dodson of Indianapolis died in February of 2010 from injuries sustained in a crash on I-465 near the Keystone Avenue exit as she was trying to assist a friend who was having car problems. Indiana State Police say a intoxicated driver, 45-year-old Curt D. Carlson, crashed into the vehicle that Dodson was steering. Two friends of the victims managed to jump to safety before the truck Carlson was driving hit the car. Carlson was driving home from a business meeting where he had drank alcohol. The hearing on Thursday will center on the lawsuit that Dodson's estate filed against Carlson's employer, Seven Corners, which alleges the company was liable for Carlson's actions. A trial court granted summary judgment for Seven Corners on the ground that Carlson was not acting in the scope of his employment when he hit Dodson's car.
