(WHITE PIGEON TOWNSHIP) – Two St. Joseph County men were injured in a minor collision in White Pigeon Township.
Michigan State Police from the White Pigeon Detachment were called to U.S. 131 near Indian Prairie Road for a report of a two car injury accident.
Troopers say 73 year old William Sherratt of Colon had stopped at a railroad crossing for a train when he was rear ended by a second vehicle driven by 29 year old Robert Patterson of Three Rivers. Both men were taken to Sturgis Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.
Assisting troopers at the scene were the White Pigeon Police and Fire Departments, Marcellus Fire Medical First Responders and Life Care Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation, pending enforcement action.
