Summer Kicking Off In Centreville

(CENTREVILLE) – Summer officially kicks off this weekend, and the Village of Centreville is helping it along.

Summer Kick Off is happening today and Saturday at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds. Also going on in the St. Joseph County seat is the annual Covered Bridge Days Festival.

Tonight's Summer Kick Off events include the Classic Car Cruise In starting at 4 PM and running until the conclusion of the fireworks show. Also you can see the farm truck pulls, visit the Budweiser garden and the food vendors and listen to the music of Shake Rattle & Roll starting at 8 PM.

The Fireworks will happen at 10 PM, followed by the Salute To Our Troops sky lanterns being released.

Covered Bridge Days is happening in downtown Centreville. Some of this evenings activities include food and craft vendors until 8 PM along with magic shows at 4:30 and 6 PM.

There are plenty of events and activities on Saturday in downtown Centreville, including the Boy Scout pancake breakfast fundraiser, bike the bridge, food and craft vendors music by the Nicky Platinum Band and the 11th annual classic car show.

Car show organizer Jon Saulnier says they are expecting a good number of vehicles for Saturday's event. ...... {LISTEN}.

The Citizen Of The Year will be announced just prior to the parade at 4 PM.

Saturday at the Fairgrounds for Summer Kick Off there will be a bike night, food and beverages and live music from North Country Flyers starting at 8 PM.
