(UNDATED) - Gas prices dropped over the weekend by almost nine cents a gallon in the Angola area. Prices on Monday morning were as low as $3.66, a far cry from a few weeks ago when prices flirted with $4 a gallon. Angola had some of the lowest gas prices in the area on Monday. According to www.indianagasprices.com, the lowest price in Fort Wayne was $3.64 while it was $3.74 in Edon, $3.79 in Kendallville and $3.85 in Auburn. The average price for gas in Indiana is $3.74 which is down 12 cents in the last week. The web site www.gasbuddy.com reports the gas supply in the Midwest has gone up which may explain why prices have gone down in recent days despite the turmoil in Iraq. The lowest price in the state was $3.43 in Lafayette while the Toll Road Plazas in Steuben and LaGrange Counties had some of the highest gas prices in the state at $4.09.
