(FORT WAYNE) - Northeast Indiana Works is projecting a 2.3 percent growth in manufacturing jobs over the next decade. The projection was released Monday in Northeast Indiana Works monthly report on the regional labor market. The Community Research Institute at I.P.F.W. says job growth in northeast Indiana will top other similar Midwest regions including Toledo, Dayton, Kalamazoo, South Bend and Grand Rapids.
Job growth in northeast Indiana is expected to be strong in motor vehicle body and trailer manufacturing as well as architectural and structural metals manufacturing.
According to a Northeast Indiana Works press release, the projection is based on data from Economics Modeling Specialists International.
