(ANGOLA) - Steuben County Engineer Jennifer Sharkey says the Federal Highway Administration has given the county $2.8 million for their portion of the work on the Wendell Jacob Avenue/200 North project. Sharkey says the county's portion will go from the entrance to the Glendarin Hills Golf Club east to State Road 827. The portion of the work being done by the City of Angola would go from the Glendarin entrance west to North Wayne Street. The city got their federal money for the project almost three years ago. The federal government is funding 80 percent of the work which will include the widening of the much traveled road. The city of Angola plans to provide its local funds from Major Moves and/or EDIT money.
