(CENTREVILLE) – Members of Andy Brown's family took the stand Wednesday in St. Joseph County Circuit Court.

Brown has been charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of David Locey on October 2, 2013.

Brown's wife Heather testified that she had attended a meeting on October 1 with Brown, David Locey and Joy Stevens regarding the situation surrounding VIP Auto Body and possible embezzlement. Heather Brown says it was an emotional meeting with her husband and Locey both crying over the situation that had developed.

She also testified that when police searched their home in Portage, it was discovered a pair of Brown's shoes, a pair of Croc's, were missing.

Brown's father Jim testified that Andy stopped at their home October 2 around 7:15 AM. Jim Brown said he left for work and at approximately 7:45 AM, Andy showed up at his auto repair shop.

Andy left and a short time later, Jim Brown testified he heard something on the scanner about an incident at Locey's CPA office. ...... {LISTEN}.

Jim Brown says he drove out to the Locey office and comforted Andy as they found out David Locey had been shot.

Teresa Brown also testified that Andy showed up at her house and was there for around 20 minutes. She said he left to go see his father and then meet with a client, the owners of John B. Simpson and Company.

St. Joseph County Prosecutor John McDonough asked Teresa Brown if she had gone to John B. Simpson in the weeks after Locey's murder and she said yes. ...... {LISTEN}.
