(ANGOLA) - A Fort Wayne man was given a total sentence of three years on Monday in Steuben Superior Court on Class D felony charges of Failure to Return to Lawful Detention and Resisting Law Enforcement. Scotty Lavon Miller was given consecutive 18 month sentences after he entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors. Misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia were dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for the guilty pleas. Miller will be allowed to serve his time in therapeutic community corrections.
Miller is serving eight years of a ten year sentence after he entered a guilty plea in June of 2013 to a Class B felony of Dealing in Methamphetamine. In exchange for Miller's guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed all other charges against him at that time.
