INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Governor Mike Pence's Center For Education & Career Innovation forwarded this Letter To The Editor to Indiana media on Tuesday.
In it, Gordon Hendry, an at-large member of the Indiana Board of Education, levels the blame for Indiana's dysfunctional education hierarchy on Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz.
Hendry claims the bickering that has plagued Board of Education meetings is not partisan, but is created by Ritz.
The Center For Education & Career Innovation was created by Governor Pence, and Ritz has claimed that it has worked to usurp the Department of Education in the administration of Indiana's education policy.
Ritz upset Republican Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Bennett in the last election.
