(ANGOLA) - The Tri-County Traffic Safety Partnership will be taking part in the national "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. The goal of the program is to reduce the number of people who get behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Partnership Coordinator Matt Kling from the Angola Police Department says officers will be out in force looking for intoxicated or impaired drivers.
Drivers are reminded to not drive if they have been drinking alcohol and to get a designated driver.
The Tri-County Traffic Safety Partnership is made up of police agencies from Steuben, DeKalb and LaGrange Counties. Funding comes through a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which is managed by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
