REMC Operation Roundup awards three grants

LAGRANGE - Three organizations serving LaGrange County are getting a boost from LaGrange County REMC’s Operation Roundup.

The co-op gave the American Red Cross of LaGrange County $2,500 to purchase and distribute smoke detectors and packets to LaGrange County Residents.

LaGrange Communities Youth Center received $4,000 for the Kite Komotion Clinic and Festival in Shipshewana.

Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Indiana-Kentucky received $2,000 for LaGrange County students to attend a summer reading camp to improve literacy skills and become confident readers.

REMC customers who allow the co-op to round up their monthly bills have contributed more than $354,000 to community groups since 2002.
