(STURGIS) – If you love music, then plan on being at Oaklawn Park Saturday afternoon and evening.

The fourth annual Homegrown Music and Arts Festival starts at 12 PM Saturday. The event is the brain child of Eric Wynes and Scott Swihart, who perform as Phins Up. Swihart says the Festival came out of their love of playing music and wanting to do it for a large group of people and having other bands there too. ...... {LISTEN}.

Seven bands, each playing different styles of music, will perform at the band shell in Oaklawn Park on South Nottawa Road. They are, in order of appearance: 16th Avenue Band (12 PM); Bobby Hutch and Grand Ole Country Band (1:45 PM); Johnny Knox (3 PM); Delbert Walling Group (4:15 PM); Monica Jane (5:30 PM); Ryan Chris (7 PM); and Phins Up (8:15 PM).

There will be an arts and crafts show put on by Kozmo Productions, featuring local artists with some of their works for sale, including oil paintings, watercolors, photography and wood carvings.

Something that was introduced at the 2013 Homegrown Festival and will be back for 2014 is an All Sturgis High School reunion. Swihart says they are hoping to see more SHS alumni this year. ...... {LISTEN}.

Swihart says there will be prize for the SHS class that has the most representation at the festival.
