MSD Officials Announce Back-To-School Plans

(ANGOLA) - Students in the M.S.D. of Steuben County head back to the classroom next Wednesday, August 20th and district officials have announced school opening procedures and dismissal information.

All school buildings in the district are open. Open houses will be held next Monday at Pleasant Lake, Hendry Park and Carlin Park Elementary Schools and next Tuesday at Ryan Park Elementary.

Angola Middle School will host grade level orientations for eighth graders next Monday night at 6:30pm and for seventh graders next Tuesday at 5:00pm.

Sixth grade students and a parent are required to attend Survivor Camp at Angola Middle School next Monday from 1:00pm until 3:30pm.

Book rentals for all students must be paid before August 20th.

Classes at Pleasant Lake Elementary will start at 7:45am. Other start times will be 7:55am at Angola Middle School, 8:00am at Angola High School and the Educational Opportunity Center and at 8:10am at Carlin Park, Hendry Park and Ryan Park Elementary Schools.

After School Child Care will start next Wednesday. The sites will be at Hendry Park, Carlin Park and Ryan Park Elementary Schools. Students at Pleasant Lake Elementary and Angola Middle School will be provided transportation to the program sites.

Students will be dismissed 30 minutes early on Wednesday starting on August 20th for teacher collaboration time. Collaboration will be cancelled on weather delay days due to state attendance requirements.
