(ANGOLA) - The Carnegie Public Library Board of Trustees told a consultant on Monday afternoon to get some figures on how much it would cost to fix the library's leaky roof. There have been problems with the roof ever since the library renovation and expansion took place almost a decade ago.
Consultants Luther Mock and Mike Pettigrew showed pictures of problem areas on the roof during Monday's meeting which Mock blamed on the workmanship. All of the problems have been on the portion of the roof that was built during the expansion.
There is a time crunch on making repairs this year before the colder weather settles in. It is estimated the repairs could take three weeks if the Library Board decides to go ahead with the project. Action could take place during their September meeting.
