(CENTREVILLE, MICHIGAN) - A man who was convicted of second degree murder on July 14th in the killing of his boss last fall was sentenced on Friday in Michigan's St. Joseph County.
37-year-old Andy Brown of Portage, Michigan was sentence to 37 1/2 to 75 years in prison for last October's shooting death of Sturgis Accountant David Locey.
Locey's body was found in his office after he was shot in the head three times.
Prosecutors said the motive for the shooting was that Locey was contacted by Brown's clients over some missing money. One of those clients said they owed the I.R.S. $238,000 that they believed Brown had been paying.
The case attracted attention from some national media outlets.
