(CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP) – A Coloma man and his wife were injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon.
Michigan State Police from the White Pigeon Detachment were called to Youngs Prairie Road near Millers Mill Road around 1:30 PM to investigate an injury accident.
Troopers say 60 year old Gary Purcell and his 64 year old wife Patricia were traveling south on Youngs Prairie Road and were unable to negotiate the curves. Purcell lost control of his motorcycle and laid it down on the roadway.
The bike and the Purcells traveled across the road and ended up in a culvert.
Gary Purcell received a broken leg in the accident along with several scrapes and cuts. His wife also received scrapes and cuts. They were both taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.
Assisting at the scene were the Constantine Police and Fire Departments, Constantine Rescue and Life Care Ambulance.
