(ANGOLA) - The Winter of 2013-2014 is now officially one for the record books in the city of Angola. National Weather Service observer Ed Nagle says he measured a total of 6.7 inches of snow from the storm that went through Wednesday. That brought the total snowfall for Angola for the season to 81.6 inches and Nagle says that is a record. It's more than twice the amount of snow Angola gets for a normal winter which is 37 1/2 inches. Fort Wayne set a new all time record for the day on Wednesday as they to recorded 6.7 inches of snow. Snowfall totals throughout the area from the Wednesday storm generally ranged from five to seven inches although New Haven recorded 8 1/2 inches of snow.
