(ANGOLA) - An Angola man will not go on trial in Steuben Superior Court on Thursday after he entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors. Court officials say 26-year-old Eric Guillemette entered guilty pleas on Tuesday to a Class C felony of Operating a Motor Vehicle After Lifetime Forfeiture of Driving Privileges and a Class D felony for Possession of a Precursor by a Methamphetamine Offender. In exchange for the guilty pleas, prosecutors would dismiss five charges including three other counts for Possession of a Precursor by a Meth Offender. They would also dismiss charges for Resisting Law Enforcement and Possession of Paraphernalia. Judge William Fee took the plea agreement under advisement. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for May 5th.
