(RAY, MICHIGAN) - A home in Ray, Michigan was destroyed in a fire on Thursday morning. Montgomery Fire Chief Brad Freeburn says the blaze on State Line Road just a few feet north of the Michigan-Indiana border was electrical in nature and possibly started in a fuse box in the back of the one story home. No one was home at the time the fire broke out. It was reported by a passerby at about 8:00am. Freeburn says the structure was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived. Fremont, Reading and Camden firefighters provided assistance with tankers and manpower. It took firefighters over two hours to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported but the home was called a total loss. A dollar estimate has not been figured up.
