Eishen Named Banker Of The Year
Thursday Apr 03, 2014 8:51pm
Sturgis, MI

(STURGIS) – An area bank executive has been given a state honor.

The Michigan Bankers Association has selected Eric Eishen, CEO of Sturgis Bank & Trust Company as its 2014 MBA Banker of the Year.

The MBA selects a Michigan banker each year for this award who has shown outstanding leadership. The award is based on three criteria: service to the Michigan Bankers Association; a statewide reputation as a banker who is helpful to other state bankers, and instrumental in the growth of his or her own bank.

Eishen says he was surprised to find out he had been named the Banker of the Year. ...... {LISTEN}.

Deborah Smith-Olson, Board Chairman of the MBA, says they are proud to select Eishen for the award. She says his dedication to the banking industry, the MBA and to Sturgis and the surrounding communities has been exceptional.

Eishen was appointed President and CEO of Sturgis Bank & Trust Company in 2002 and became President and CEO of Sturgis Bancorp one year later. He says he owes a lot of his success to his father Leonard. ...... {LISTEN}.

Eishen is involved in several local organizations as well as state wide boards.

He will be formally presented with the award during the MBA Annual Convention in June at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
