(ANGOLA) - The Steuben County Sheriff's Office and Angola Police say they are still taking reports of calls to senior citizens who are falling victim to the so-called "Grandparent Scam" or "Grandparent Call".
They say the caller poses as a grandchild of the potential fraud victim or as a representative of an entity calling on behalf of the grandchild. The caller then ask for money to get the grandchild out of whatever trouble they are in. Police say this is a scam and that you should never give out your personal financial information to any unknown caller.
