KENDALLVILLE - A car that refused to stop for a state trooper in Kendallville eventually crashed near Fish Lake in LaGrange County early this morning.
Police arrested 27-year-old Mark Frye of LaGrange as he tried to flee on foot into a wooded area just after 12:30 a-m. 26-year-old Katrina Kelly of Kendallville was a passenger in the car and was also arrested.
While still in Noble County police say Frye tossed items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine from the vehicle.
Speeds at times topped 100 miles per hour as officers gave chase up State Road 3 to LaGrange County Road 200 South before turning south again on 500 East. The car crashed into a yard at 1820 South County Road 485 East.
Officers transported Frye and Kelly to the Noble County Jail where they are expected to face multiple charges.
Frye is also expected to be charged with a felony count of resisting law enforcement in LaGrange County.
Police from Kendallville, Avilla, Wolcottville, LaGrange and Shipshewana assisted in the pursuit.
