(STURGIS) – Sturgis City Commissioners have approved the sight plan for the new home of the Sturgis Depot Building.

During their meeting on Wednesday, Chuck Baber presented the sight plan for the southwest corner of West Chicago Road and South Jefferson Street, which is where the Depot will be moved to.

Baber explains some of work that will be done to the area around the Depot, specifically where vehicles will be able to enter. ...... {LISTEN}.

Baber says he is still working on landscaping around the building with the help of an expert from Kalamazoo.

In speaking with Wolfe House & Building Movers, who will be moving the building, Baber says the route they will take with the Depot will be from West Main Street to South Nottawa. Then south on Nottawa to U.S. 12 and then west to Jefferson and then onto the
foundation.

The plan is to move the Depot Building on Tuesday June 24.
