(MASON TOWNSHIP) – A two vehicle crash sent one person to the hospital.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called out at 8:50 PM Friday to Old M-205 and Redfield Street in Mason Township for a crash. The investigation determined that 35 year old Kyle Alley of Burr Oak was driving east on Redfield Street, and failed to yield to oncoming traffic at M-205. His vehicle was struck by a southbound auto driven by 21 year old Robert Walls II of Elkhart.
Alley’s passenger, 20 year old Josclynn Hankinson of South Bend, was taken by SEPSA Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Also assisting at the scene were the Edwardsburg Police Department and the SEPSA Fire Department.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
