HS CROSS COUNTRY SECTIONALS
AT WEST NOBLE
West Noble won the boys sectional, beating Westview by 13 points. East Noble was third. DeKalb was fourth, followed by Churubusco, Angola, Lakeland, Eastside and Prairie Heights.
Angola’s Izaiah Steury was medalist, 22 seconds better than Westview’s Spencer Carpenter. West Noble’s Colton Cripe was third, East Noble’s Austin Liepe was fourth, Westview’s Remington Carpenter was fifth, and Anthony Schwartz sixth. Lakeland’s Lucas Begley was ninth.
East Noble won the girls sectional title by four points over West Noble. DeKalb was third, Angola fourth, and Westview fifth.
DeKalb’s Lydia Bennet was medalist, ten seconds better than Angola’s Taylor Clemens. West Noble’s Yarency Murillo-Rivera was third, DeKalb’s Abby DeTray was fourth, Angola’s Gracynn Hinkley was fifth. Westview’s Deann Fry was ninth. Prairie Heights’ Allison Steele was fifteenth.
At the Elkhart Central Sectional, Goshen won the boys title, with Northridge second and NorthWood third. Goshen’s Drew Hogan was medalist.
Northridge won the girls sectional by a whopping 77 points over Fairfield. Elkhart Central was third.
Memorial’s Morgan Dyer was medalist.

HS BOYS SOCCER:
West Noble 3, Wawawsee 1
Northridge won on penalty kicks 3-1 over Elkhart Central.

HS VOLLEYBALL:
Angola won the NECC tourney title at Lakeland Saturday.
West Noble lost to Angola while beating Lakeland, Westview and Fremont.
Fairfield won the other pool, beating Eastside, Churubusco and Garrett before losing to Angola in the finals.
