It took a week for the other shoe to drop, but drop it did...the IHSAA announced yesterday it has canceled the remainder of the boys basketball state tournament. The tournament last week was postponed following the sectional round right before regional. The association said any updates on the status of spring sports will be announced later. The IHSAA is adjusting its policies for members of spring sports teams to allow athletes to practice with out-of-school teams, according to an email sent to IHSAA principals and athletics directors.

"If we are able to resume on May 1, 2020, the number of separate days of practice necessary to participate in any interscholastic event, including contests shall be set at five," the association said.
Under normal circumstances, teams are required to have 10 practices before being allowed to play in competitions.

The Detroit Lions traded cornerback Darius Slay to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday for two draft picks. The pro-bowl player told ESPN he didn’t see eye-to-eye with head coach Matt Patricia.
